I'm happy. :D filled with the joy of the Lord!
though life's been crazily crazy, my joy is made complete in the Lord!
i was just stoning in the toilet, and wondering if the Lord never intervened in my life, where on earth would i be right now? He has blessed me with so much! more than you can ever imagine. though there were times when the patches were rough, but it is through all these that i could taste the goodness of God for myself. (:
gospel rally's over, and yet i'm sure memories of it linger on. The drama was fantastic! the message was strong yet important. Hebrews 2:3 How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? We really ought to ask ourselves. And for us Christians, we ought to ask, How shall we escape if we neglect so great a soul?
God values a soul so much, that we ought to do the same too. Everyone's special. Life is so much more than just studies, work, money, fame, achievements,status and everything else that the world perceives to be of utmost importance. Vanity vanity, all is vanity. I can truly say. Just pause for that moment, and think, Is life really all there is to it? Or is there something more? Why do we bury ourselves with so much, that we forget the little things around us? that we forget the people around us? If death is the end of the road for us, then why labour?
Now lets turn the tables and look at it from a whole new perspective. If Jesus is said to be the way, the truth and the life, then everything will come to light. Through Jesus, we are saved from our sins, saved from death, saved for eternity. Life has so much more meaning, when you're living it for Christ, because He is the meaning of life. We then labour knowing that one day, we'll receive our rewards in heaven. We labour for a purpose and for eternal treasures. We don't labour for money, for achievement nor for fame, because all these will eventually be used up, wear away and be forgotten when we grow old and die. But if we labour for Christ, He remembers everything, and will give us our reward in Heaven. And the greatest reward of all, is to live in Heaven with Him for eternity.
I do admit that there are shadows of doubt at times, when i wonder if Christianity really is, the one true way. And when i try to come up with the craziest excuses of all to say its not, i fail. Because i cannot deny how much the Lord has done for me all these while. Why let that one moment of doubt destroy the eternal joy you can have? Don't, its not worth the pain.
People can call me crazy, like i'm some avid follower of Christ or something. But it doesn't matter, because I am not ashamed of the gospel. Of course persecution is scary, and i do not know if i'll be able to pull through it when i do face it. But i pray, that i may learn to depend on Christ day by day, moment by moment. Its times when you think you're so high up that you ought to be ever on your guard. Even as i type this post, i wonder what will happen next. Will the devil come and attack me with a sudden blow? Perhaps. But i must remember that the Lord is the greater victor of the battle, and in fact, the only victor.
The next few weeks and months are going to be one crazy battle, and i'll have to be mugging hard for promos. And yes, you may ask, why study? Its not going to matter in the end. Well, while we're here on earth, living as a light for Christ, we must be good stewards of the responsibilities that He has entrusted us with. So that we may be good testimonies for him. (:
just realized that its a long time since i rambled on. But i just wanted to say so much. And if you've read till here, I hope it'll be something for you to ponder upon, to be encouraged, and challenged. Its a limited edition post you know! haha XD
